ADVANTAGES OF AFTERMARKET LED MOTORCYCLE LIGHTING
ADVANTAGES OF AFTERMARKET LED MOTORCYCLE LIGHTING
Riders who have personally benefited from aftermarket LED motorcycle lighting—such as LED headlights, LED turn signals, LED taillights, and LED auxiliary lights—are the strongest proponents of this technology. Safety is not something that happens. Those who ride frequently—for example, on lengthy excursions or commuting to work—observe these advantages the most. It’s that easy: the more time you spend riding your motorcycle, the more you stand to gain from better riding!
Adding LED lighting to your motorcycle will improve safety in two main ways. First, the biker can see the road ahead more clearly. Second, other cars on the road may see the rider more clearly. We’ll go over these two benefits—and more—as well as the LED lighting modifications that will make the task easier!
See Where You’re Going
Although it’s a straightforward idea, many motorbike riders need to know how constrained their field of vision is. Riders can detect possible dangers sooner with a better view of the road ahead. Consequently, the rider has more time to manoeuvre the bike away from hazards or adjust. The ability of the cyclist to properly negotiate the road will be significantly impacted even if they can view road signs earlier. Auxiliary LED lighting and LED headlamps can substantially increase road visibility. HID headlamp kits are not nearly as good as Sealed Beam & Adaptive Motorcycle LED headlights. Their beam pattern is more constant, and the failure rate is significantly lower. Usually, HID headlamp kits result in hot patches and dull areas where the beam isn’t consistent.
SEALED BEAM-LED MOTORCYCLE HEADLIGHT
The most popular direct substitutes for original equipment manufactured for motorcycle illumination are sealed beam LED headlights. Sealed beam LED headlights will replace the OEM bucket’s standard headlight. The newest engineering innovation is provided by ProBEAM LED Motorcycle Headlights, which are made in the USA. Sealed beam headlights create the perfect beam pattern by more accurately directing the light. At that point, the rider can see both sides and a considerable distance down the road. ProBEAM® LED headlights have a colour temperature of 5000K, which is significantly cooler and cleaner than the yellow glow of a halogen bulb. Other drivers will find them more striking as a result. In addition, they consume significantly less energy than their HID/Halogen equivalents and include a polycarbonate glass that guarantees long-term reliability.
ADAPTIVE LED MOTORCYCLE HEADLIGHT – IT MOVES WITH YOU™!
The most recent direct motorcycle headlight replacement option is adaptive LED headlights. The upgraded ProBEAM® Adaptive 2 LED Motorcycle Headlights now include JW Speaker’s Adaptive technology, which maximizes ditch-to-ditch light production where it’s most needed! The light can detect when the bike is slanting thanks to adaptive technology, which also produces a better beam pattern by rerouting the beam to light up shadowy areas; when the motorcycle leans on both high and low beams, the automatic real-time redirection moves the light array up or down.
LED MOTORCYCLE AUXILIARY LIGHTS
LED motorcycle auxiliary lights are an additional choice to enhance the beam pattern further further further! Cree LEDs are used in ProBEAM LED Halo Fog Lamps, which are 100% plug-and-play to install. A bright white LED halo is also integrated into these fog/auxiliary lights. This accomplishes two goals. Initially, the motorcycle is surrounded by a dazzling white pool of light. This makes the road ahead even more visible by filling in the dark space between the bike and the low-beam headlight pattern. This is perfect for cycling in bad weather (rain, fog, and snow) or in the dark (early morning commute, daylight savings time, etc.). After all, especially on a lengthy journey, these situations aren’t always the easiest to predict!
The bike is more visible to other cars because of the running light halo created by 12 white LEDs. In addition to being eye-catching, the DRL Halo can be installed in a way that optically widens the bike. With ProBEAM® Accessory Mounting Clamps (separately supplied), each ProBEAM® fog lamp can be mounted onto 1.25′′ engine guards and requires an 8mm x 1.25 mounting hole. The ProBEAM® Halo Fog Lamps, mounted on the engine guards, improve the bike’s visibility on the road by increasing its visible area.
Let Them Know You’re There!
Everybody has heard of the near-misses that motorcycle riders have experienced. After far too many incidents, the other driver says, “I just didn’t see you. “
DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS
A White DRL can be found in many of our best-selling goods. It belongs to the crucial category of lighting known as Daytime Running Lights/Lamps (DRL). DRLs are a car’s forward-facing lights. Their purpose is to make it easier for other drivers to see you, not to improve your vision on the road. DRLs have a significant impact on a motorcycle’s visibility.
This is the function of motorcycle windshield and fairing LED lighting, which includes LED headlamp/passing lamp trim rings, LED vent inserts, and LED windshield trim. The White DRL LEDs in these goods light up as soon as the motorcycle is turned on, just like DRLs on cars.
OEM-Direct Replacement LED Lighting
Most motorcycles’ stock lights offer little visibility. Manufacturers utilize incandescent bulbs because they are inexpensive and don’t offer many advantages. Higher-quality aftermarket LED lighting modifications are beneficial even for motorcycles with standard LED lights. Even in bad weather, ProBEAM® LED turn signals are visible!
Compared to incandescent bulbs, LEDs light up considerably faster and brighter. An LED’s lighting happens instantly. Can a few seconds make a difference? Well, think about the driver behind you who is inattentive. They can react more quickly if they spot your brake light a second early. They are less likely to pull out in front of you if they see you approaching sooner. The difference between a major accident and a safe ride home can be as little as one second.
HIGH-QUALITY COMPONENTS & DESIGN
The only LED Light Pipe product line available in the motorcycle market is ProBEAM®. ProBEAM LED products are made with automotive-grade LEDs, providing better performance and brighter light output.
First, consider the rear fender’s ProBEAM LED Lighting choices. Light pipes produce the always-on light, which is directed and distributed by light pipes. Light pipes, in turn, provide more consistent lighting and lessen glare and shadowing. More side visibility is a bonus.
Furthermore, high-power Automotive-Grade LEDs provide complete contrast and a high-intensity function (brake and LEDs). A different set of LEDs illuminates at high intensity rather than the entire light growing in brightness or intensity. The rear fender ProBEAM LED lighting is seen here compared to the Harley Davidson stock/OEM lights.
Like other LED turn signal alternatives, the ProBEAM LED Motorcycle Turn Signals give a more robust light output and improved side visibility and are brighter than factory incandescent bulbs. Additionally, the lens’s design offers advantages of its own. Depending on the lens type, a gasket may be included or incorporated into ProBEAM LED Turn Signal Lenses. We provide a watertight seal by using a unique gasket design. All parts will remain dry and corrosion-free as a result of the gasket. This fixes moisture inside the turn signal housing, a typical irritation that can eventually cause harm.
MAKE YOUR LIGHTING DO MORE!
Many ProBEAM LED upgrades also provide functionality, which is the “cherry on top.” Much of the stock illumination, such as the Tour Pak Side Marker Lights and Fender Tips, solely serves as a running light. Depending on the year and model, ProBEAM® Tour Pak Side Marker Lights offer run, stop and turn signal functionality to improve side illumination on the H-DTM Tour Pak. In addition to the default running light function, ProBEAM LED Rear Fender Tips and ProBEAM® Dual Intensity TriBars offer braking capabilities.
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
LED motorbike lighting from Custom Dynamics® is directly replaced and made for specific uses. This implies that our clients can be guaranteed compatibility and fit. A product cannot provide the same advantages to the rider if it does not fit or work properly. This is a frequent problem with imitation or subpar substitutes. Meeting performance and quality criteria was a top priority during the ProBEAM® product line’s development and testing. Our OEM-direct replacement ProBEAM LED solutions are now DOT & SAE certified thanks to extensive testing. Some goods comply with ECE.
Add-On LED Motorcycle Lighting
Why cease using direct substitutes?LED lighting accessories are the ideal approach to further personalize your vehicle!
BAGZ™ LED Saddlebag Lights
Add-on LED saddlebag lights, such as our BAGZTM, are popular and available in multiple configurations. The LEDs expand the motorcycle’s visible area and add functional lighting to the rear fender. Imagine a motorcycle’s stock rear lighting. The majority of the illumination is mounted on or toward the middle of the rear fender. You have increased the distance between the outermost lights by adding BAGZTM LED Saddlebag Lights. Now that it can visually manage more area on the road, the motorcycle will demand greater attention.
Motorcycle LED Saddlebag Latch Lightz™
The Motorcycle LED Saddlebag Latch LightzTM are no exception. H-D owners are swooning for LED Latch LightzTM, a recent release! Although these are a direct, plug-and-play replacement for the original Harley-Davidson® hard saddlebags, they also include LED lighting instead of the factory reflector. This automatically improves the motorcycle’s side visibility. Reflectors are good, but nothing beats LEDs that can be used as turn, brake, or run signals! Without sacrificing style, LED Saddlebag Latch LightzTM & Saddlebag LED BAGZTM Lights increase your Harley Davidson’s visibility (see below).
Chip on Board (COB) LEDs, which are comparatively new to the market, are used in Latch LightzTM. Multiple LED chips are housed in a single module in COB LEDs. The advantages are numerous. Because COB LEDs occupy less space, the most significant number of LED chips can be used. As a result, COB LEDs produce brighter light light. They also dissipate heat due to their architecture. Heat dissipation lowers the failure rate and increases efficiency. Additionally, light loss is significantly reduced as the viewing angle is raised.
More Bang for Your Buck
LED lighting has several benefits beyond safety. Additionally, LEDs outlast halogen or incandescent bulbs in terms of lifespan. Additionally, LEDs are more resilient because they don’t have any breakable glass or filaments. According to some estimations, LEDs will last 35+ times as long as incandescent or halogen lights. When an LED eventually malfunctions, it’s usually a “partial” malfunction. In other words, even if one LED stops shining after a lengthy journey, the remainder of the device will still correctly guide you home.
A lifetime LED warranty is also offered for Custom Dynamics® LED motorcycle lighting solutions. LEDs are more expensive initially, but since they don’t need to be changed as frequently, you end up saving money over time. More gas money to enjoy your motorcycle to the fullest! Your bike will appreciate that LEDs use less energy and generate less heat.
The advantages of LED lights are undeniable, even though there are loud pipes and riding techniques to deal with distracted drivers. LED lighting not only improves your eyesight of the road ahead, but it also increases your visibility to other drivers. Take note of the motorcycles’ lighting the next time you ride a four-wheeled vehicle. Do you notice them? If that’s the case, you’re probably witnessing someone abusing aftermarket LED motorcycle lighting!
