HOW TO INSTALL HID HEADLIGHTS IN A PONTIAC GTO
The automated headlights and daytime running lights of the 4th Generation Pontiac GTO (2003-2007) might make installing a HID conversion kit challenging.
When you insert the key into the ignition, the automatic headlights switch on; they don't go off while you're starting. Additionally, the remote locking key fob is used, and the automated headlights activate while the car is not moving. These two items are incompatible with aftermarket HID lighting. The HID ballast will not power up correctly when the DRL (Daytime Running Lights) function activates the headlights with a lower voltage than usual.
The DRL feature and the automated headlights should both be turned off or avoided. Last but not least, modifying a quad-four headlight to enable simultaneous use of the high and low beams is simple.
