Toyota 4Runner LED Reverse Bulbs: Best reverse lights for outdoors

.

If you're reading this, you've likely already made improvements to the front of your Toyota 4Runner and are attempting to match the rear. For your Toyota 4Runner, we offer a special reverse light option.

It's okay that many people are content with just two reverse lights, but with the assistance of Diode Dynamics, we've discovered a method to give you four of the brightest reverse lights available. I'm going to walk you through installing the module that powers these lights today. Next, I'll demonstrate how it appears against a wall in contrast to the stock reverse lights.

Installing the Reverse Lights

To access your taillight, you must first open the hatch and reach through the tiny access panel. After that, you can remove the small internal door using a flat screwdriver or other pry tool.

The two 10-millimeter nuts can then be removed by reaching inside with a 10-millimeter socket.

Then, to remove it, pull it toward you. The little factory wire harness should then be disconnected.

We'll take this to the table for the next phase and demonstrate how it operates for you all.

Now that the taillight is out on the table, our dear friends at Diode Dynamics are aware of the issue. We like a lot of reverse light output, which is the issue. Therefore, in all honesty, having two sets of reverse lights—four total—is preferable to having only one set.

Therefore, the 1000-lumen reverse lights from GTR Lighting will be used for this purpose. As of the time this was written, they were the brightest reverse lights on Earth. Four is always preferable to two.

This is the 4runner's Diode Dynamics "Tail As Turn" module. It is cool that it is 99% plug-and-play. The only change required is to install this T-Tap on the green wire and connect this black wire to it. Diode Dynamics comes pre-installed with everything you need.

You acquire your four reverse lights in this way. Diode's product makes this possible, converting your factory-installed LED taillight and brake light in the middle from just a brake light to a turn signal, eliminating the need for this turn signal.

How are we going to handle that? To improve night vision, we will remove the turn signal that was installed and install a second reverse light.

Here, we have the amber turn signal and the GTR lighting Armor series. It's for other drivers, but that was a good bulb. Today, we behave selfishly. Back here, we want the good things.

Press these into the slot after plugging it in.

Connect it to the factory connector using the same pressure as the upper one. When everything is installed, bring everything back to the car, plug it in, and run your wire through it.

There is a resistor on here. It's advisable to mount these on a metal surface because they do become a little warm. Plenty of metal is available to mount it back there.

Wrap It Up

Let's quickly get into the car and reverse this. Before I replace these nuts and work on the other side, I will first check that all the connections are correct and in their respective locations.

It is relatively simple to determine whether they are effective. But this will only provide you with so much information. Let's switch off the lights, back this up to the garage door, and compare it to the stock 4runner reverse lights because any light is bright when you're looking at it directly.

Stock VS. LED Reverse Bulb

As you can see, the light output from the Diode Dynamics module is remarkable. The lights are so amazing when you back up to that garage door. From behind the wheel, you ought to be able to see it.

I would love for you to try out some of our fantastic items, like that one, for the Toyota 4runner. We currently have the S-V.4 low-beam and high-beam LED headlights and the KC Hi-Lites Gravity LED Pro6 Light Bar in the grill.
