Morimoto XB LED Euro Tri-Bar Taillights for the '15-22 Ford Mustang

With the Ford Mustang S550 (2015–2022), we have completed a good deal of work. We have demonstrated how to improve the headlights, reverse lights, side markers, and even the interior lights. The Ford GT-style Morimoto XB taillights, which generated a lot of debate due to their appearance, have also been covered in detail.

Since Morimoto recently introduced these Tri-Bar XB LED Taillights that match the OEM taillight design, they must have been paying attention. We appreciated how the XB LED Tails added to the Mustang's distinctive appearance. The return to form of these new taillights is accomplished with skill and artistry, demonstrating their superiority over generic OEM components.

ABOUT

Following consumer input, Morimoto decided to release this traditional tri-bar XB LED taillight. For the S550 Mustang, Morimoto currently offers two taillight configurations. These tri-bar-designed XB LED taillights use an amber sequential turn signal, which is uncommon on many cars. The original Ford GT-inspired taillights included a circular sequential turn signal and an incredibly brilliant reverse light.

When the automobile is turned on, the tri-bar taillights, which appear smoked out when off, burst into a brilliant red hue.

The OEM vehicle's taillights are powered by combo lighting. This indicates that the same circuit is used by the turn signal and the brake light, keeping the brake light and turn signal from having distinct colors. Morimoto's XB LED Tri-Bar Tails provide excellent consecutive amber turn signals.

The installation is plug-and-play, as is typical with Morimoto XB LED headlamps and taillight kits. Few tools are needed for the installation of the 2015–2022 Mustang.

First, uncinch all four mounting pins on the nearest plastic panel by opening your trunk. On either side, there are. Lift the piece of plastic off and up by working both sides out.

After the push pin keeping the carpet in place has been exposed, could you remove it? When this is removed, three bolts and a connector are seen. Unfasten the taillight by pulling the connector and the three bolts.

Following completion of these, you can wiggle out the taillight. With gentle pressure, pull out immediately. When you do this, a rubber grommet will be seen. You can also remove this, and the rest of the wire will be included.

The second taillight should be repeated.

Using the corresponding taillight side, slide the wiring into the entire assembly. Make sure the grommet is squeezed in and the mounting points slide in properly.

After that, plug in the connector and carefully screw in the three bolts. Make sure the light and all of its features are operating correctly by testing them before tightening the bolts. Repeat with the other taillight.

The last step after tightening the three bolts is to transfer the black plastic component that covers the standard taillights to the new XB LEDs. This is quite simple to accomplish.

To remove the clips from their hinges, use your hands or a pry tool. Gently remove these. After removing it, click the clips into position to attach them to the XB LED housings.

Morimoto offers headlights for the 2015–2017 and 2018–2022 models, fog lights, side markers, extremely brilliant reverse light bulbs, and excellent interior lighting to enliven the interior of your Ford Mustang if they haven't sated your craving for more excellent automotive lighting.
