Reasonable Use of LED Headlights
The rules about headlights
- The beam should not be blinding for the approaching driver.
- The beam should be far enough to alert the driver to impending traffic risks when travelling at incredible speeds.
- The colour of the beam should highlight different coloured objects correctly.

What do manufacturers do to comply with the above rules?
- Determining the bulb type (to decide the colour and intensity of the beam).
- Design of reflectors (for correct beam patterns)
- High/Low functionality (for long distance vs short distance view)
Then why do people say LEDs are annoying?
- Most people modify reflectors intended for Halogen lamps to accommodate LED bulbs. This throws off the beam pattern that the reflector should produce, causing the beam to spread out and obstruct oncoming traffic.
- Most LED bulbs have significantly higher outputs than halogen lamps.
- Because of this, most people, including law enforcement, think LED bulbs are to blame. However, the real issue is the noncompliance of LED bulbs and halogen reflectors.
You can be sure that LEDs are legal for street use if you use the right LED reflectors. LEDs work well with projectors. They provide a good beam pattern, and the brightness is within allowed limits.
To address these issues, we studied various halogen bulb adapters. We also improved the design of our LED lights. This creates a 1:1 effect between the brightness of our LEDs and halogen lamps, such as headlights. They have many benefits, including greater longevity, high intensity with minimal power usage, and a superior colour rendering index.
