To start, remove the tailgate cord and lower your tailgate. Only detach one cable to prevent your tailgate from breaking.
Using a pry tool, the push tabs behind the taillight at the top and bottom of the bed interior can be removed.
Next, remove the two screws under each push tab with a T20 Torx bit.
After removing it, you can pull the taillight in your direction. Next, disconnect the factory connector.
Reinstall the push tabs after grabbing your XB LED taillight and connecting the factory connector to it.
Make sure the taillight performs properly before putting away all of your tools and discarding the box.
