The Changes of The 2024 Jeep Wrangler - Exterior and interior

The Changes of The 2024 Jeep Wrangler - Exterior and interior
The Jeep Wrangler is one of the best off-road American iconic vehicles available; the firm has been selling these vehicles in the US for about 40 years. The business also unveiled the JL, a completely new Wrangler model, in 2018. Now that the JL Wrangler has been available for a few years, Jeep should update it for the first time.
The 2024 model is currently available. Its front and rear appearance was updated. The Rubicon X is a new trim level with some new technology. First, we’ll review the cosmetic and interior modifications made to the Jeep.
Changes with Front End
- Grille and Bumper
An initial glance at the 2024 Jeep Wrangler’s style reveals that it largely retains the JL Wrangler’s appearance from its initial release in 2018. However, the new Grille is the most significant external change to the Jeep.
Jeep debuted it around the end of 2023. Furthermore, many enthusiasts aren’t the biggest fans and don’t truly love change. When you see the Grille in person, you’ll notice it’s not nearly as tall as the previous model before the update. Jeep has added some black elements, and the grill’s finish varies based on the trim level. Additionally, there is a unique air intake system between the Jeep’s slats, which was required to provide cooling for this vehicle due to the Grille’s reduced height.
Jeep claims that they had to design a less tall replacement grille to accommodate the factory-worn winch. This is now available on the Rubicon variants for an additional $2,000 fee. This has a maximum pulling capacity of 8,000 pounds. Since it’s one of the most significant modifications that Jeep owners buy as a convenience, the company paid close attention to what owners had to say. Once more, this is supported by the factory warranty. It has been tested for safety and functionality. Thus, the winch is a fantastic choice.
The gorgeous shade of Earl Gray is used to paint this Rubicon X model displayed in the image. It has a tint similar to blue-grey cement. Despite being a trendy color, it looks fantastic, especially when combined with all of the Rubicon 4xe’s visuals.
If you choose the Rubicon or higher trim level of the Wrangler, you will receive complete LED headlights with LED turn signals, fog lights, and running lights throughout the day.
The steel bumper group, usually an additional 2000 dollars, is also standard on the Rubicon X trim and is excellent for off-roading.
- Windshield
One of the other apparent modifications is the absence of the vehicle’s side antenna. One of the final cars with the outdated Mass-style antenna that flapped in the wind was the Wrangler. They have now incorporated the antenna inside the car’s rear windshield. It simply has a much cleaner appearance. Additionally, this model has the adaptive cruise control forward camera system, which comes standard on this Rubicon X trim level.
Changes with Side Profile
- Wheel
Approaching the Wrangler’s side profile, this vehicle is still available in two-door and four-door varieties. Jeep claims that most purchasers choose it because the four-door variant is so much more helpful. It had a wheelbase of 118 inches. This model’s overall length is approximately 188.5 inches. The car does get longer if you choose the extreme Recon 35 package with the 35-inch-tall tier because the spare is more extended, measuring about 192 inches. For those who intend to fit this vehicle into a small garage, that will make it even longer.
This year, all Wranglers received new wheels. There are ten additional wheel options in all. One is this 17-inch machine with a two-tone wheel and a black inner spoke design; it is an optional wheel that costs $1,500. This is a 4xe, which explains the blue accents. These are BF Goodrich or Goodyear all-terrain tiers, which are 33 inches tall. Remember that you can purchase a tier that is 35 inches tall. Nevertheless, the 4xe cannot accommodate the 35-inch-tall tiers. You must either buy a Rubicon 392 or switch to a gas-only model.
Two trail-rated badges are now available, usually only one on the driver’s side. They removed that mask antenna, so no one was on the passenger side. Additionally, there is the 4xe’s charging port door. Thanks to its internal 7.2 kW capacity charger, the car can be fully charged on level two in about two and a half hours. According to Jeep, the range on electricity alone is about 21 miles.
The power One Touch Sky roof will be standard if you choose the high-altitude trim, exclusive to the 4xe. This fantastic feature allows the sun to enter quite simply at the push of a button. For those who prefer the pleasant open-air experience, you may still pull off the doors, fold down the windshield, and remove these small side panels.
I then circle the back of the car. Back here, a lot has stayed the same.
Changes with Rear End
If you choose the LED lighting package, you will also get full LED tail lights, a blind spot monitor built into the side of the tail light, and blue tow hooks that mimic the front and carry over to the back in the form of an excellent full-size spare tier with matching alloy. The vehicle’s overall length will grow if you choose the extreme recon package, which includes a larger spare tier.
- Cargo Area
The cargo area follows. Because the four-door Wranglers have about 28 cubic feet of storage space, this is one of the reasons why everyone tends to get one. When the seat is up, the mobile charger with the car can be placed in the small storage area underneath the seat. The battery pack in this automobile resides behind the back seats, which increases the cargo capacity to about 67 cubic feet when the seats are folded down. The Wrangler with a gas-only option will have five more cubic feet than the 4xe because the battery requires some additional room.
- Interior
Now, let’s talk about the 2024 Wrangler’s interior. The only trim line or configuration to receive the red leather is the V8-powered Rubicon 392 with a red interior. The actual seat packs are stamped with Rubicon 392 and made of the finest Napa leather. You will receive a 12-way power front seat system if you choose this trim level, a Rubicon X, and a high altitude. These seats are heated. Thus, there is a 12-way power adjustment on both seats. Jeep says these seats have also been tested in highly damp and harsh environments. Therefore, these are guaranteed to function even if you want to drive this car through a creek and they get wet.
Regarding the remainder of the inside, the 12.3-inch touchscreen display in the middle uses their most recent Uconnect 5 software. Even the lowest model of the Wrangler comes with this as standard. Therefore, if you choose the entry-level sport trim with manual windows and no cruise control, you still get this enormous 12.3-inch screen with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and over-the-air updates.
The only substantial upgrade for this screen is the GPS that is integrated into this model. Since most of you will be using your smartphone, you probably won’t care about that. The images are vivid and bright, and the touch screen responds quickly. According to Jeep, the screen has been tested to withstand the elements once more when the top is down, such as when it gets wet or covered in dust. It is also made to be incredibly bright, even in direct sunlight, so you should be able to see the screen, and it won’t wash out.
The 392 has a unique steering wheel that can tilt and telescope, but it has a limited range of motion for the telescope. To ensure that you can drive comfortably, check the seat out. I adore how the power seats allow you to precisely stop it at the desired place, which will be fantastic if you need to make little seat adjustments, as when off-roading.
Along with the standard cruise control controls, this model also has metal paddles for the wheel. Additionally, this car offers adaptive cruise control without a heads-up display, and the dash has been completely rebuilt to fit the larger 12.3-inch display. The upper trim features lovely genuine leather and contrasting stitching, a grab handle, and updated air vents.
The instrument panel is then essentially the same. Jeep claims that although they could have used a digital display here, they thought this would be more acceptable to owners because they wanted to keep you from overloading you with two screens. Instead, you get a large 12.3-inch display, two analog dials, and a 7-inch assist screen.
If you remove the cover, you can install devices like a GoPro or your smartphone to the upper section, which has been updated to include an accessory rail. Jeep said they wanted to incorporate something like that because owners have asked for it.
A backup camera provides both a front and rear view while the car is in reverse. There is also a front camera washer for cleaning the camera or the rear glass. Both the resolution and the graphics have undoubtedly improved.
You’ll appreciate how fast and agile this car is. You have three-level heated seats (but no cooled seats) and dual-zone temperature control. Everything is essentially the same, including the auxiliary switches, front and rear locking differentials with your sway bar, a full-time four-wheel drive system with a conventional manual lever, and a traditional pool-style handbrake. There is no denying that the inside feels luxurious. Additionally, Jeep claims that the higher trim should be quieter because more sound-deadening components have been added.
They have improved the comfort and luxury of this cabin. However, it still has all the features and toughness purchasers look for in a Wrangler.
You will want to go to the four-door form of the Wrangler because of the rear seat, which offers about three inches of additional legroom at about 38.5 inches. It’s one of the reasons the four-door Wrangler is a well-liked family vehicle. Pull the small lever to increase the cargo space, and the seat will produce a comparatively level load floor. When all the seats are folded, the V8 model’s cargo space increases to 72 cubic feet because it lacks the battery pack found in the 4xe, which raises the floor.
All Wranglers now have side curtain airbags except the base sport model, another significant safety feature Jeep added this year. Despite being a decades-old safety technology, side curtain airbags still need to be installed in Wranglers.
It is integrated into the vehicle’s actual roll cage well. If you’re considering using this automobile as a family vehicle, you may convince your spouse that the airbags will deploy even if you remove the doors and the roof.
Although there isn’t any more storage, the back seat includes a foldable armrest with two cup holders and a small center console storage space. Additionally, there are speakers on the roof and a portion of the roll bar in this location, similar to the Ford Bronco. The vision is uninterrupted because there is no bar at all. There is a decent amount of headroom for someone 5’ 7” .ample space for your legs; if you’d want, you can even cross them. Additionally, the door has soft-touch materials with padded leather, which is excellent.
